AWEBB announces two key appointments to continue to maximise benefits for all group members

Progressive, ambitious and forward thinking electrical purchasing consortium AWEBB proudly announces the recruitment of two accomplished professionals, Simon Oram (Commercial Manager) and Steve Watson (Marketing Manager) to their team in Cowbridge, Wales.

Both started in quick succession in January this year and have key roles to play in not only bringing their expertise and vision to the organisation, but also to help their members maximise the wide range of opportunities open to them.

Meet the new recruits:

Simon Oram, Commercial Manager is a highly motivated, customer centric Commercial professional with over 15 years experience in both retail and electrical wholesale markets.  He joins AWEBB from Toolstation, where he was responsible for the category management of an extensive sales profile and stock budget, as well as the creation and development of own brand ranges and a new smart technology category. Prior to Toolstation Simon also spent a number of years with Denmans electrical wholesalers.

Steve Watson, Marketing Manager is a very creative, driven person, who has been working in a variety of hands-on marketing roles for 20+ years. This has led him to have a full and in-depth understanding of all aspects of marketing from the ground up.  Steve joins AWEBB from Awdry Law, where he recently carried out a full rebrand and renaming of the firm to great effect.

As AWEBB continues in its mission to provide unparalleled negotiation with leading suppliers in UK and Europe for the benefit of all their members, the combined expertise of Simon and Steve will play a crucial role in advancing industry and member collaboration, communication and innovation.

AWEBB’s CEO Mark Lambert commented “We are delighted to welcome Simon and Steve to the organisation, their impressive track record and experience align seamlessly with our commitment to delivering excellence to our members in everything we do.

Simon’s role is predominately to utilise his excellent negotiation skills to continue to deliver the best deals for all our members and help them maximise the wealth of opportunities and benefits available to them.

Steve will focus on enhancing our communication, branding and digital marketing activities to ensure we provide a clear, consistent and continuous approach to our members, suppliers and the market as a whole. The recruitment of Simon and Steve helps us take a major step forward in our mission to become the UK’s leading electrical Purchasing Consortium in 2025.”
