AWEBB are delighted to announce that Westminster Electrical Wholesalers will be joining their market leading buying group on March 1st 2024.
Westminster Electrical are a passionate and trustworthy family run business established by ex Chelsea and Crystal Palace footballer Micky Droy in 1984 and are still family run to this day. After almost 30 years of wholesaling in Greater London, they opened a second branch in Welwyn Garden City in 2012, expanding their operational capability and increasing their economies of scale in order to serve the people who matter most – their customers.
Following their success in Greater London they now operate worldwide in more than 15 countries, where they provide a wide range of specialist items including 800A + panelboards, switchgear distribution, solar, lightning protection and lighting designs.
They are a fantastic addition to AWEBB’s thriving membership as they pride themselves on exceeding customer expectations by sourcing and supplying high quality electrical products and providing outstanding customer service from their highly knowledgeable people.
Meet Westminster Electrical:
Steve Droy, Managing Director was proud to follow in the footsteps of his father and has worked for Westminster Electrical for over 25 years. He was instrumental in steering the selection of and opening of their first branch office and headquarters in Welwyn Garden City. Steve is focused on growth in volume and customer base, direct sourcing from well recognised manufacturers and capability building, both in human resources and facilities management.
Richard Jolley, General Manager has been in the industry since 1990 and has worked with all the national wholesalers, as well as the independents. Richard oversees everything in Welwyn Garden City and in London, including their growing export business. Steve and Richard work together closely, sharing the same vision and values.
